| home made mothers day gift how do you feel about it? | | as always i want to let my mother know just how much i appreciate her on this special day, she means everything to me and without her i would never have made it to where i am today.
however this year i am a bit strapped for cash so i decided to buy her a plain glass vase and to decorate it myself using glass paint which i already own, well my partner laughed at me and said that this was something a child done for a parent at school, he has gone for the usual chocolates and flowers option, well he was very wrong my vase has come out lovely and it didnt cost me much money about £5.00 all together and only a few hours of my time i am more than sure my mum will love it.
have you ever made a gift for mothers day if so did it go down well and did you really save any cash in the long run. | |
| | Painting on cupboard glass | | I have a corner cupboard in my kitchen that had a plain, clear glass insert.
I just had a custom-made insert done in "watered" clear glass with a leaded design.
Unfortunately, the textured glass isn't as opaque as I thought it would be (I don't want to be able to see the contents of the cupboard very clearly).
I wondered if I could paint the back of the glass with black glass paint to obscure the view of the inside of the cupboard. My kitchen is modern with white cupboards, black and grey granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances.
Any suggestions? | |
