| Bargello Quilting | | Has anyone ever used the Bargello method of quilting? I heard about it yesterday from an avid quilter. I would like to make my first quilt. Although I've been sewing for a LONG time, I don't want to do anything too complicated yet. She said that it might be a good pattern to start with. Any advice? | |
| | Anyone Do Or Enjoy Crazy Quilting or Crazy Quilts? | | I've enjoyed quilts but knew that I wouldn't enjoy the precision required to make one. Then I discovered crazy quilting where you don't have to be so precise. It also includes embroidery which I learned as a child and really enjoyed doing. I've only made a pillow cover and Christmas ornaments so far. It is time consuming. I've learned enough to have a better appreciation of the ones that I've seen. So does anyone else have a special appreciation for this type of quilt or does anyone else do this? | |

i have been knitting for over 40 yrs...am finally making a fishermans sweater
for my self...am retiring soon...going to learn weaving rug hooking and quilting
to supplement my income.
i have fibromyalgia...so these "tamer" activities will be good for me.
will be looking for sites to sell my stuff on...any sugestions? | |
| | How do you mark your quilting designs? | | What are your favorite quilt designs marking tools and techniques. I just tried Pounce for the first time and I love it. It really does what is sez it will do, that powder won't rub off with a lot of hanglind and it's quick to mark your quilt top. Have you tried it and what other techniques do you prefer? | |

| | Perfect Quilting Weather | | It's supposed to be cold, rainy and windy today. A perfect day to stay inside and quilt. | When Quilting, do you use Fat Quarters? | | When you quilt do you buy the fat quarters, go and buy a specific number of meters? Or do you use "Scraps" or left overs?I'm one that uses Scraps, leftovers, I take apart old clothes (especially pants) and buy metered fabric for specific patterns. I've never used fat quarters, up until a few weeks ago I wasn't even sure what they were. | |
