| Have you ever thought of making a small lamp in a teacup? I make them and people really seem to like them. Here is the basics on making them. You can take the basics and design yours however you feel like.Basic Supplies:
1 Teacup and saucer (these do not have to match and can have chips in them to add to the charm)
1 candle lamp with small round base
1 small lampshade
Embellishments of your choice (I have used tulle, ribbon, flowers, lace, doilies, buttons, jewelry, etc.)
Hot glue gun and glue sticksDirections:
1. If you plan on using a doily, glue it the saucer.
2. Glue teacup to saucer.
3. Glue candle lamp inside of teacup, making sure the cord is on the back of teacup.
4. Glue in tulle, lace, etc. over the base of the lamp so it sticks out of the teacup.
5. Add your embelishments and glue them in place.
6. Add your lampshade and any embellishments you want to add the lampshade.Your lamp is now finished and ready to use or give as a gift. These look very pretty in a small bathroom, in a bedroom for a nightlight, or for any lady who just loves Victorian looking stuff. This is also a great gift for someone who collects teacups.I purchase all of my... |
